Financial Accountability
- Ensure that the department’s operational budget is in line and costs are strictly controlled.
- Issue purchase requests and approve store requisitions ensuring that departmental stocks are sufficient, but not exceeding requirements.
- Continuously review department performance against budget.
- Maintain inventory of linen, operating equipment, beverages and breakages.

Role Overview
Purpose:
To provide strategic leadership and direct operations to ensure the Meetings and Events department achieves its goals and effectively contributes to the guest experience whilst maintaining Radisson Hotel Group Brand standards. To oversee and direct all aspects of the coordination and successful execution of all residential groups, conferences, banquets and incentive programs in accordance with department standards.

Main Duties:
1. Coordinate the organizational functions in all areas of the Meetings & Events Department to ensure delivery of the strategy and compliance with RHG standards. Support the F&B Manager in all aspects of managing the operations team.
2. Studies, evaluates and suggests improvements for operation procedures.
3. To liaise on a daily and event by event basis with the kitchen to ensure that both parties involved in the running of an event are complete in their understanding.
4. Co-ordinate with the M&E office regarding details of the functions daily.
5. Ensure that BEO’s are understood by all operations colleagues ensuring all guest requirements are delivered.
6. Provide creative set-up of all functions to develop and enhance the image and reputation of the hotel.
7. Overall responsibility for all stock control and requisition procedures for every aspect of the operation.
8. Employment of relevant positions within the operation and recommendation for any promotions within the operations team.
9. Provide counselling, coaching and discipline to colleagues as needed.
10. Provide performance appraisals and feedback as per company procedures.
11. Assess and provide adequate training and coaching for all M&E colleagues to enable them to perform their roles.
12. Liaise with Technical Services Department to properly monitor that repair works are efficiently delivered in the function & meeting rooms to ensure guest satisfaction with the hotel products.
13. Review comments on functions held and obtain guest feedback to develop relationships with clients to ensure maximum personalised guest service is provided.
14. Ensure monthly inventories of all operating equipment under Meetings & Events in line with audit standards in order to effectively manage cost.
15. Ensures that department performance is in accordance with the departments Standard Operating Procedures.
16. Conduct regular pre-service briefings with all operations colleagues, to ensure full understanding of the needs of the forthcoming service period.
17. Ensure enough trained staff are available to fulfil all operational needs of the department, including the occasional hire of casual staff.
18. Perform any other duties that management may reasonably require.

- Hotel School Degree or diploma or equivalent- Essential
- Train the Trainer, Wine training, Up selling skills training etc… Essential
Experience
- 2 years min. in a similar role in a 5 * international hotel brand
- Experience in Banqueting operations- Essential
- A total of 4-5 years Food and Beverage experience-Essential
- Experience working in a large, multi cultural environment- Essential
- Written Vietnamese, Chinese, Russian language skills highly regarded
- Written and spoken English - Essential
