Finance Analyst (GL) | Midvalley | Contract [Malaysia]


 

Job Scope:

1. Operations – Financial Accounting

  • Prepare journal entries and ensure the financial data inputs are accurate and timely
  • Maintain and monitor financial working schedules such as prepayment, accruals, etc
  • Perform account reconciliations, including, bank reconciliations, balance sheet accounts, etc., and resolve the reconciling items in a timely manner
  • Perform period-end activities in accordance with the financial close schedules and the established group guidelines
  • Manage external local accountants (where relevant) to ensure timely and proper updates on day-to-day transactions.
  • Attend to and manage queries with timely resolutions and/or escalation
  • Respond to FP&A queries and post accounting adjustments as required
  • Support team members through proper knowledge transfer, sharing of resources, knowledge and experience
  • Assist in preparing and updating work procedures and training materials when required

2. Operations – Financial Reporting and Analysis

  • Prepare reporting pack and ensure data consistency with ledger for submission purpose as per stipulated deadline and reporting requirements.
  • Reconcile and analyse financial data to ensure the financial books are up-todate and relevant
  • Manage and maintain Group leasing system (CoStar) to ensure lease information and supporting contract are timely and accurately updated
  • Support audit request and any form of statutory checks to ensure the financial books are in compliance with the accounting and legislation standards
  • Prepare weekly cashflow forecast in support of cash management by Group Treasury
  • Perform monthly review of GRNI report and collaborate with relevant stakeholders to resolve any payables aged items

Job Requirements:

  • Good personal computer skills and familiarity with Windows-based software.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment & highly adaptable to change
  • Ability to comprehend, analyse, and interpret complex financial information and transactions and accounting principles.
  • Good communication skill
  • Formal accounting qualification or equivalent
  • 3-5 years of working experiences
  • Requires good knowledge of financial terms, concepts and accounting principles
  • Good knowledge of accounting, internal controls, US GAAP and SOX requirements
  • Good analytical and problem solving skills
  • Good English written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to work both, independently and collaboratively in a team environment
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a challenging fast paced environment
  • Experience working in a Shared Services or MNC environment
  • Experience working in an ERP environment
  • Competent computer user with experience of using Microsoft Office software specifically MS Excel

Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Contract length: 6 months

Salary: RM3,000.00 - RM5,000.00 per month
